Enrichment Programs
Watch Me Grow provides enrichment programs specifically designed to enhance each classroom’s daily curriculum. Enrichment programs expose each child to additional activities designed to promote growth in numerous developmental areas.
Spanish (Espanol)
We offer Spanish instruction to our Pre-K and Kinder-Readiness children. Child development research indicates that children are more receptive to learning a second language at a young age. These studies also show that early exposure to a second language aids in their cognitive development and future second language skills.
Our approach offers a simple, age-appropriate introduction into Spanish. It consists of learning Spanish words, singing Spanish songs, and learning Spanish phrases. In addition to teacher instruction, the children will have access to Spanish books, audio and video tapes, songs and games that will enhance their learning experience. The children will learn by seeing, listening, imitating, and practicing. Our Spanish program consists of the following themes: colors, numbers, family members, animals, body parts, clothes, foods, shapes, classroom items, household items, and Spanish words and phrases.
Reading/Phonic Lab
Children develop language, phonics, and early reading & writing skills through:
Books on Tape
Leap Frog Tag System
Printing Journals
Our literacy program will promote the children’s reading readiness through phonemic awareness. Along with language development, this program also teaches math, science, music, and geography. This literacy program will help the children master their pre-reading and phonics skills.
